Everyday I pass a farm with peacocks and it’s one of the sweetest parts of my mornings when I can spot them. This morning, as I was looking for them, in the top of one of the most obvious trees to me, there they were… all of them. As beautiful and radiant as ever. I’ve never looked up to find them there. How many days have I missed their presence and beauty? It hit me…
{How many things do I miss because I’m too busy looking straight ahead at the circumstances right in front of me rather than looking up at where I should be?}
Sometimes we can’t see the full picture or what’s being done until we pick our heads up and focus our eyes on the eternal instead of the right now. We can’t always see what’s over that mountain because we are too busy focusing on the ache of the climb.
So this morning, in the chaos of the world, pick your weary heads up and turn your eyes and hearts on the beauty of what God’s doing rather than the fear of what the world is wanting. Thank you Father for these little morning reminders in these Tennessee hills. The peacocks this morning were a little more special because of that sweet nudge. He always knows what we need ❤️
